THIS DRESS WAS BOUGHT FOR MY 14 YR. OLD DAUGHTER!! It was bought for her 8th Grade Student Trip to Washington D.C. & NYC last month in June! A real BROADWAY SHOW was on their scheduled itinerary in New York, they were to see “Phantom of the Opera!” So of course were told to bring one dressy outfit, preferably a cocktail like dress for the girls and shirt and tie for the boys. I saw this great, super cheap cocktail/semi-formal dress on Amazon and after reviewing ALL the reviews on this dress and the others within the same clothing/dress line decided to go ahead and take a chance and order it. There were a couple of reviews stating the dress ran small in size. I however think it ran pretty exact in size…”JUNIOR SIZING” that is!! Review : Very disappointed with quality and will not be buying others patterns as I had hoped.
When this smock/dress first arrived and I tried it on, I noticed the shoulder straps were sewn in unusually close to the middle of the dress, both in the back and the front, making it look very awkward. I compromised with wearing an overcoat or sweater because I really liked the pattern, but after the first wash the elastic began to unravel from everywhere. Don’t dare tug on the elastic either because the top will come unraveled and be limp on one side. All in all, if this were sewn together better it would be a winner.
