Review : Beautiful – But Buyer Beware
If I were only to look at this dress, I would rate it five stars – it is absolutely beautiful.
The problems begin when one decides to wear it.
First, It does run somewhat smaller than described. I typically wear size 20-22 and am small busted – a 24 is too large on me. The description states that this is sized 14-24, but I would say it fits more like 14-22 or 14-20. I was still able to wear it, though the top was quite snug. No way this will fit a size 24. Not a big deal.
The really, really disappointing thing about this dress is that the seams on the skirt were poorly sewn and were already seperating. With one gentle tug, an entire seam came completely apart (this being a diagonal seam on the back of the skirt of the dress, where two pieces were attached at the trim. The fabric was already unraveled. Threads hung off of the dress everywhere, where seams were not completely sewn. Most seams are raw (and unraveling) edges attached to the trim, and…
